Indian Mountain, Song Tra

Quang Ngai is the central coastal province of Vietnam with many beautiful landscapes. But when it comes to Quang Ngai, people often talk about the beauty of the Indian mountains, the Tra river, and the scenic symbol of Quang Ngai province.

On Highway 1A, the arterial road runs through North-South, 883 km from Hanoi capital. Quang Ngai City is located right on the bank of Tra Khuc River. Tra Khuc River is also known as Tra Giang or Tra River which is a big river and also a must-see destination for many tourists coming to Quang Ngai.

Tra River originates from the top of Dac To Ron mountain in KonTum province, 2,350 m high. Tra river is formed by 4 rivers, flows eastward, across Quang Ngai city boundary and then flows into the sea through the mouth of Dai Co Luy. With a length of 150 km, flowing through many steep hills and mountains, but to Quang Ngai city, the river flows more smoothly, making the scenery of the city by the river more peaceful and attractive. Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho, a tourist from Hanoi, expressed his feeling: “At first, when I came here, I only thought about traveling to the sea with beautiful beaches, but the beauty of the Tra river made me very impressed. Perhaps this is one of the special sights, first is the sea, then the river. The river section through the city retains the rustic and peaceful features. I like the scenery of coconut trees on the banks of the river reaching out to the sunshine river. Each boat, boat after a day off the coast, back to peace lying pillow on the river ... cool air, feeling very comfortable.

Coming to Quang Ngai, visitors cannot ignore another famous landmark, Thien Thien Mountain. Thien An Mountain is 106 meters high, 3.5 km from Quang Ngai City to the Northeast. In any direction, it was seen from the distance that the mountain had a trapezoid shape, like a seal from a high sky leaning down a river, so the ancients called this beauty "Galaxy Seal" (ie, fruit The seal of heaven closes down the river). On the mountain, there is Thien An Pagoda (Thien An Tu) built in 1695 (Lord Nguyen Phuc Chu's life). In Thien An pagoda, there is still a precious "bell god" made by artisans of the village of Chu Tuong (Mo Duc) in 1845. Over the centuries, the pagoda bell still echoes throughout the vast space.

The road goes up to the top of the mountain along the southern slope in a spiral. The road is wide enough, with a gentle slope, so it is very convenient to go to the mountain by motorbike. Guests can also leisurely walk to the top of the mountain. The first impression standing on the Indian mountain temple is a very cool climate. From here, visitors spoiled for a panoramic view of peaceful Quang Ngai city by the river of lush green tea. The Thien An Temple campus is located on a wide area hidden under the shadow of an ancient tree. Thien An Pagoda has a simple architecture in the architectural style of the Ruong house (the type of house has a wooden truss structure system, is completely connected with pegs, wooden poles), the main pagoda is in front, behind is nesting house. Around the temple there is a garden with statues of ornamental plants and rows of stone chairs for guests to rest. East of Thien An pagoda is the tomb area of monks with towers built with many floors in odd numbers (5, 7, 9) and lotus figurines. Especially in the temple compound, there is a well known as a "Buddha well" that has been dug since the opening of the pagoda. Thich Dong Hoang, abbot of Thien An pagoda, said: That day, the monk did not see the water, he went out, after returning to see the first water jet, he was happy to call him up ... but forget the young monk still under the well. When the monk remembers watching the monk, the young monk does not know at all. So in the folk still circulate the verse: There are teachers who dig water on the young, until there is no water left.

Although the dug well in the mountain, but according to the people here, the water in the well has never dried up. People in the area also thought that water in the Buddha well could cure many kinds of diseases. With such characteristics, in the mind of Quang Ngai people, Thien An mountain and Tra stream are always sacred Son Thuy symbols. On major occasions, visitors come to the ceremony, sightseeing Thien An pagoda up to ten thousand people. Many tourists also do not miss the opportunity to admire the top landscape of Quang Ngai province.
